The engine, transmission and radiator are 1926 Overland Whippet. Fuel is gravity fed from a tank mounted in the tail to the updraft carburettor. The chassis is derived from a 1922 Model T Ford with front and rear transverse leaf springs.
The steering box comes from a 1933 Ford and is mounted on the chassis near the radiator, an enclosed c.v. joint at approx 45 degrees takes the steering column behind the engine to another joint coupled to the steering wheel.
When the car was purchased at Dimboola in Victoria by Ted King, the body was missing. It had been removed years before and to date no further information regarding its fate can be found.
A new body was fabricated by Gordon Hallihan of G.H. Sheetmetal of Bathurst. The shape was determined by the existing framework and brackets. Paint colors are similar to the original samples that were taken from the car prior to sandblasting.
