Since the pre 1929 design was too detailed for use as a small embossed or pressed metal plate on the lower cowl (such as those used by American body builders like Fisher), the "Lion and Stone" emblem was designed by sculptor George Rayner Hoff and attached to Holden built bodies from 1929 onwards.
