This 1933 Welltype Utility (wooden bed with flared sides) is the only one known to exist and may indeed have been the only one ever made!
Just who made this is a mystery. It may be a farmyard roadster conversion or it may have been built new by any number of Australian coachbuilding companies in existance at the time. There is no evidence of the spare wheel well which was a feature of all 1933-1935 Tourers (the '36 having a boot). Also note that the rear section of the Welltype cab rises up at the rear rather than being straight as in the correct Willys tourer, has no body moulding/reveal stamping at the top and is also clearly two corners with a centre section.
Note that the bed appears to have been attached to the rear cab wood bracing.
