Hope Body Works Ltd. was established in 1926 by Charles Hope but general running of the business was quickly handed over to Harold Hope. By 1928 the factory in Wandoo Street, Valley, Brisbane was flourishing with a staff of approximately 50 employees and turning out the bulk of the light commercial bodies for Queensland. The range embraced many different types of commercial and passenger vehicles including light touring cars and roadsters, laundry, bakers and milk delivery vans, ton trucks, five or six different types of light utility bodies, special touring and bus bodies.
